Mother elephant revives baby in a heartwarming moment

At first glance, a motionless baby elephant causes alarm, but what follows is a remarkable display of maternal patience and protection. This mother’s unique technique shows how care and instinct can go trunk in trunk.

Meleney captured this sighting while she was on a safari in Kruger National Park. While enjoying a sunset drive from Satara, Maleney’s group discovered a couple of elephants grazing on some tree branches. However, on closer inspection, there was more going on in this encounter than everyone initially realized.

The scene felt unusually quiet for the African bush. As the two elephants peacefully snacked on the nearby tree, Meleney quickly spotted a baby elephant lying motionless on the ground a few feet away.
