Villagers heard desperate cries coming from an abandoned well and discovered a young elephant trapped at the bottom. Unable to climb out, the frightened calf waited for help.
Rescue crews carefully widened the edge of the well and created a gentle dirt ramp, allowing the elephant a safe route to freedom.
