Pig is dinner for Komodo dragon

I have this feeling that animals that swallow their food whole enjoy their meals less than those that chew every bite for a while before swallowing it. Oh, thank God it wasn’t a live pig.

I was afraid at first but it’s good. And it was kind of cute how he crawled back into the cage on his own. Frozen-thawed feeder pig is fed to a large Komodo dragon-sized Varanus Salvator to demonstrate an Asian water monitor’s natural ability to engulf large food items.
